Every new year brings new projects, goals, hopes for a new life and those ideal exercise routines combined with healthy eating.
We’ve barely started 2022 and it’s time to rethink all this again.
Let’s start the year with some exercise, shall we?
Remember that exercise is good for everyone. Even those who are ill (with diabetes, cancer, hypertension, etc.), as long as they have a doctor’s recommendation, should exercise.
I turned to my personal trainer, William Laveli, who always tells me that exercise isn’t about climbing the stairs in the building, going home from work or carrying weights at work. It’s much more than that, physical exercise should be done as leisure, in a way that’s fun for everyone. structured, organized and controlled .
And the first thing he notes is that exercise is for everyone. Whatever your age, you must adapt exercise to your physical and health conditions.
If you’ve never exercised before, it’s best to first consult a specialized professional who will check your living conditions, history, health, etc. and if necessary will even refer you to a doctor, nutritionist and physiotherapist.
William points out that, ideally, you should always have a professional by your side, checking that you are executing the movements, that your posture is correct and that nothing is being compromised as a result of your physical activity. That’s where the personal trainer comes in. But as this requires a cost that not everyone can afford, William points out that investing in exercise (if possible with a personal trainer) is one of the best investments a person can make for themselves. This means that you should always go to a professional who is trained and committed to working towards your goal, always looking after your health and quality of life.
We mustn’t forget that many people want to and can start exercising on their own, and that’s fine. Start with the exercise that you enjoy (playing soccer, skipping rope, swimming, cycling, running or whatever gives you pleasure).
The expert pointed out that EVERYONE can start exercising by going for a walk in the fresh air. There are no contraindications for this type of activity.
Well…starting to exercise is the first step. The second is to keep up the exercise routine.
It’s like this:every Monday everyone starts a diet, but on Thursday…
At the start of the day or week, everyone is in high spirits, but our routine has been very heavy and we understand that. Physical education teachers recommend training together with people (family, friends or acquaintances) who encourage you to exercise and for those who can, of course, hiring a personal trainer is ideal.
Well, who stopped? Why did you stop? Why did you stop? And for those who want to start training again, William is categorical in telling us that our body is like a machine, when it stops, it doesn’t come back at the same pace. That’s why we have to come back little by little, at an intensity we can handle.
Don’t overdo the intensity, loads or quantity.
Finally, William recommends wearing light, breathable clothes that are ideal for exercise if possible.
Happy 2022 to everyone and lots of discipline.
Physical exercise is a habit, health and well-being. Everyone should do it!
