Whether you like it or not, there will be a day in your life when you’ll go through something job interview . And on that day you will have to impress the person who is interviewing you, not only with your CV and lip but also in clothing.
Believe me, I’ve heard it from several HR professionals. Appearance”counts for a lot when it comes to an interview.
Forget it crumpled and/or punctured shirts. Team shirts (maybe the recruiter supports another team?). Tattered pants. Clothes you’d wear to school or a rock concert.
Or what to use?
Try to research the place first . If it’s an environment where all employees are obliged to work in social clothes. Wear a dress suit! If it’s a place where the staff wear uniforms, you can go to the interview in dress clothes or a more classic outfit:jeans, polo shirt, shirt, t-shirt and blazer. Now, if it’s a place where clothes don’t matter so much, like an advertising agency, don’t ruin everything by going all torn up and “mudeerrrrrno”. Opt for an outfit that’s more casual but still respectable.
Accessories :Use a men’s bag if you need to bring a laptop to present something, or even CVs, books, etc. Watches give a serious and punctual appearance.
Some tips for looks:
Care If you have earrings, peircings and/or tattoos, try not to wear them to an interview (if possible). Some companies/bosses don’t like this form of expression. Once you’ve been hired, you can wear them again and you won’t have any problems (lol).
Just use common sense and it always works out. And good luck at the interview!
