Guide to the different types of men’s trouser styles

Accustomed to day-to-day fashion, we often write here as if every reader had the same level of understanding. On the contrary, we deal with different types of reader. From the layperson looking for simple, everyday tips, such as how to wear plaid. To those with more advanced degrees, who are already discussing controversial issues such as the production chain, the environment and labor…

Yes, it’s difficult to meet the needs of every reader and with that in mind we’ve prepared a specific agenda.

A guide to men’s pants.

It’s obvious that in order to put together a guide, we have to have a parameter. And our parameter is the different types of modeling. There are 6 different types of modeling that are worth getting to know.

Skinny pants

It’s a type of slim fit, but even more fitted. Skinny pants are tight-fitting pants that conform to a person’s body shape. Similar to leggings, but in other fabrics. They stick to the body.

Although there is a lot of resistance, this type of modeling has been considered outdated, since the time has come for loose, ample and uncomplicated models.

Calça Slim

Slim is a type of modeling that refers to the fit. Slim-fit garments have a perfect fit. There is no excess or missing fabric.

This is the type of model most recommended for tailoring, as it fits perfectly to the lines of the body, maintaining elegance and not hindering movement.

In the case of pants, just like our legs, the pants taper in line with the shape of our body. The result is a perfect silhouette.

Straight pants

Straight-leg pants are like those worn by MC Donald’s employees. The cut is simple and doesn’t follow the silhouette of the body.

Say goodbye to skinny jeans, at least for now. Those “zany”mid-rise pants you see in our parents’photos are back. And who ever laughed at it, little did they know that it would have the last laugh.

Wide, straight, oversized and high-waisted jeans continue to be the hit of the moment. Ah, you know those light jeans that look old. Yes, this is also the ideal wash.

Jogger pants

Jogger pants are pants in which the waistband (top) and cuffs are made of elastic (basically, this is what sets them apart from other trouser models).

It doesn’t seem like much, putting an elastic band at each end of the garment, but the style effects are many. It totally changes the look of the garment. It takes on a new design, a new shape and a different model. No belts are needed.

To tell you the truth, it’s a very comfortable, modern and cool garment, but I still miss seeing more guys wearing it. Maybe it will become more popular over time. Let’s remember that here (Brazil) things really do come slowly. But with you in mind, let’s talk a bit more about it.

Track Pants

These are the famous sports pants. Pants made from synthetic fabrics and with references to sports brands. With side stripes or buttons, they’ve become the talk of the town. Black and red are the colors that are dominating.

Cropped pants

The word cropped, if translated, means cut, in other words, something that has been cut.

When we think of something as cropped, it’s because it’s shorter, both the top and the pants.

The cropped pants have a much shorter hem. So the perception of the model is clear. That way, they will never be (and don’t need to be) folded.

I hope our guide helps and serves everyone. Our main commitment is to provide information. So from now on, when we mention some of these models, we don’t want anyone to have any doubts.
