The big problem with white sneakers is that they get dirty very easily. And if you’re still wondering how to make them white again, here are 4 different ways to do it:
Sodium bicarbonate
You will need
–Water.
–Sodium bicarbonate.
–Liquid detergent (colorless).
–Toothbrush or cleaning brush.
How to do it:
Set aside a pot to prepare the cleaning ingredients. Pour in a little water, add a little liquid detergent (colorless) and baking soda. It’s a good idea to use the same measure for both ingredients (1 measure of detergent and 1 measure of bicarbonate). Mix the two products in the water and scrub the whole sneaker with a brush. You can use more force on the rubber, but be more careful on the fabric/leather. After that, wash the sneakers only with water and dry them in the sun.
Talco
You will need
–Water.
–Talc.
–Toothbrush or cleaning brush.
How to do it:
In a jar, mix one equal measure of talc and one equal measure of water. Apply the solution to the sneakers and scrub with a toothbrush (or a cleaning brush). Rinse well with water and leave to dry.
Dental Cleanser and Creams
You will need
–Water.
–Liquid detergent.
–Pasta de dente branca.
–Towel for drying.
–Toothbrush or cleaning brush.
How to do it:
Separate a pot with some water and detergent. Dip the brush in this solution and scrub the entire sneaker with it. Then dry the sneakers a little with a towel. Finally, apply a little toothpaste (white, of course) to the brush and rub it all over the sneakers. Rinse the sneakers and dry them in the sun.
Bleach
You will need
–Alvejante.
–Balde.
–Water.
–Laundry soap (or liquid).
How to do it:
Set aside a bucket to soak your sneakers in. Pour water into the bucket up to the height that will allow your sneakers to soak. Then add a little washing powder (or liquid) and a little bleach (a ratio of one tablespoon per 2 liters of water). Stir well. Remove the insole from your sneakers and put them in the bucket. Leave to soak for a few hours. Then remove from the bucket, rinse under running water and dry (in the sun or even using a hairdryer).
